NEW FARM
New Farm was a small dairy unit with fields alongside Stagg’s Lane. The milking parlour was on this lane to the west of Manor Farm, and the dairy adjacent to the farm house on Lower St. It was run by brothers Jack and Peter Witchell in the middle years of the C20th. Milk was bottled and delivered locally and to Figheldean.
If we see a pub called the New Inn it is usually quite old!
